Roles and Responsibilities
ContinuumRx is currently recruiting a Registered Nurse to work in a hybrid role in our Columbia, MD infusion suite as well as in a Home Infusion Nurse role.
Registered Nurses working in our Ambulatory Infusion Suites/Centers work directly with patients and perform intake, vitals, infusion, and injections, documenting in the Electronic Health Record.

Assess and document the health status of the patient Provide intake including vital signs, medication reconciliation and health history

Prepare patients for infusion or injection.

Deliver infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols and organization guidelines

Ensure patient care is documented in the Electronic Health Record

Keep environment clean and disinfected after each patient use

Demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of patient care

Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies

Reinforce patient and family education regarding disease processes and treatment side effects

Work collaboratively with clinical and front desk staff to ensure highest level of patient care Assist with audits and regulatory function

Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers, such as order clarification, patient status, and plan of care Work at multiple facilities within the market as needed
Registered Nurses working as a Home Infusion Nurse work directly with patients in their home.

Uses the nursing process to care for and/or educate individuals in the promotion and maintenance of health.

Uses systematic critical-thinking to guide data gathering, assessment, nursing judgment.

Responsible for coordinating and managing aspects of infusion nursing care as ordered by the physician.

Delivers care in collaboration with the patient, their family and all members of the health care team.

Submits required documentation of care within required time frame including initial assessments, visit encounters, patient education.

Participates in interdisciplinary collaboration and communicates urgent clinical findings in a timely manner.

Maintains annual competencies

Maintains privacy, security and confidentiality of patient, staff and organizational data

Fosters a non-discriminatory work environment in which care and services are delivered in a sociocultural sensitive manner.

Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision, while demonstrating strong work ethics to meet goals and provide stellar customer service to patients.

Travel to assigned territory as needed with willing flexibility to meet patient needs.

Availability for assisting with On-Call responsibilities, as needed. ("Taking Call/Being On-Call")

Complete understanding of confidentiality with respect to Company proprietary information as well as information concerning patient/client care; complying with all federal and state laws as apply to confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and electronic protected health information (EPHI); and following HIPAA guidelines regarding readily identifiable protected health information
Qualifications and Experience

Excellent IV Skills

Experience and strong familiarity utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems

Proficiency with standard office software applications - Outlook, Microsoft Office, Electronic Health Records, internet and mobile applications

Demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of patient care Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other medical staff

Strong leadership skills, self-confidence, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations

Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills

Experience in an infusion setting preferred

Current, active and in good standing registered nurse license in the state of employment

Current BLS CPR certification
