Position Summary
We are seeking a certified Medical Assistant to support a neurology office and assist with pulmonary function testing operations.
This position is designed for a dependable and motivated healthcare professional who wants to expand beyond traditional Medical Assistant responsibilities. The selected candidate will receive structured training and may have the opportunity to obtain additional credentials and advance into a Neurodiagnostic Technician and Pulmonary Function Technician role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and clinical staff in the neurology office.
- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing.
- Collect and document patient information accurately.
- Support patient intake, room preparation, scheduling coordination, and clinical workflow.
- Assist with pulmonary function testing under appropriate supervision.
- Prepare, clean, and organize testing equipment and examination areas.
- Follow established infection-control, safety, privacy, and documentation procedures.
- Communicate professionally with patients, physicians, technologists, and administrative staff.
- Maintain accurate records and promptly escalate clinical or operational concerns.
- Participate in structured training for neurodiagnostic and pulmonary function testing procedures.
- Complete required education, supervised practice, and credentialing steps for future advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Current and verifiable Medical Assistant certification recognized in California.
- Experience working in a medical office, clinic, or other patient-care environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
- Professional and compassionate communication with patients.
- Ability to follow clinical protocols and physician instructions.
- Ability to work in a structured, regulated healthcare environment.
- Willingness to learn diagnostic testing workflows and pursue additional credentials.
- Reliable attendance, professionalism, and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in neurology, pulmonology, cardiology, diagnostic testing, or specialty care.
- Experience assisting with pulmonary function testing or other clinical diagnostic procedures.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and medical scheduling systems.
- Interest in developing a long-term career in neurodiagnostic or pulmonary function technology.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.52 per hour
