Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC components.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and brake repairs to maximize equipment lifespan.
- Fabricate parts or modifications using power tools and welding techniques to meet specific repair needs or enhance equipment performance.
- Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and warranty requirements.
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of equipment components during major overhauls or rebuilds as needed.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair and heavy equipment maintenance in a dealership or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding (including soldering), and using hand tools or power tools for repairs.
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring and hydraulic diagrams to accurately diagnose issues.
- Ability to lift heavy components safely during tire service or equipment repair tasks.
- Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
- Previous experience working with heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, or similar industrial equipment is highly desirable.
