We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in restaurant settings or dietary departments. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation and meal assembly, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development, providing input on seasonal offerings and special events.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation for catering events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members.
- Familiarity with dietary restrictions and the ability to accommodate special requests.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in menu planning.
- Experience as a dietary aide is a plus but not required.
