The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for serving the company’s employees with understanding and respect. Maintaining confidentiality is a priority and taken very seriously in the Human Resources department.
As the Human Resources Assistant, you are accountable for:

· Complying with all OSHA safety requirements
Responsibilities and Duties:
General and Administrative
· Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the company’s commitment to quality, continuous improvement and respect for individuals
· Requires the ability to work quickly but paying attention to detail and accuracy
· Coordinate and communicate effectively with HR Manager, HR Generalist, and managers of other departments to complete tasks and projects
Human Resources Duties:
· Employee verifications
· Maintenance, recordkeeping, and on-going verification of validity of licenses and medical certificates
· Make appointments for new hires, DOT recertification’s, pre-employment drug screen and physicals
· Answering inbound and making outbound phone calls
· Assist in Picnic/event planning
· Create flyers
· Miscellaneous data entry
· Create new hire packets
· Filing and file maintenance
· Making copies when needed
· Answering the door in Human Resources
· New hire on-boarding
· Service Award Certificates
Required Qualifications:
· Legal ability to work in the United States
· High school diploma/GED with experience, vocational/technical certification or equivalent work experience/on the job training
· Proficient in computer programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Ability to learn computer programs and Paylocity payroll system
· Able to work with little or no direct supervision

Working Conditions:
· Sitting for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours or more per day.

· Work area may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
· Fast-paced environment subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity
