Job Summary
We are looking for friendly, reliable, and energetic baristas to join our team at Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co. in Redmond.
Qamaria is Seattle’s first Yemeni coffee and chai house and a great place to learn about Yemeni and Arab culture, coffee traditions, and hospitality. Hospitality is a big part of our culture, and we want every customer who walks in to feel welcomed and taken care of.
We are also a bakery, serving traditional Yemeni coffee and chai, espresso drinks made with coffee beans imported from Yemen, matcha, fresh pastries, desserts, and more.
We are a family owned business with a team of 28+ staff members. Having a larger team allows us to offer flexible scheduling and plenty of coverage for shift swaps and on call needs. We have morning, afternoon, evening, and late night shifts available.
As a barista, you’ll learn how to prepare our traditional Yemeni drinks, make espresso, properly froth milk, practice latte art, and provide a great experience for every customer.
Our location is right across from the Marymoor Village light rail station, walking distance from Whole Foods, and has plenty of parking.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve espresso drinks using our Yemeni coffee beans imported from Yemen
- Learn proper milk frothing techniques and latte art
- Learn how to prepare our traditional Yemeni coffee and chai
- Prepare matcha, teas, refreshers, and other drinks on our menu
- Serve pastries, desserts, and bakery items
- Provide friendly and welcoming customer service
- Take customer orders and accurately process payments through our POS system
- Keep the bar, drink stations, bakery area, tables, and customer areas clean and organized
- Complete regular walkthroughs of the café to make sure the store stays clean and welcoming throughout the day
- Restock cups, milk, ingredients, pastries, and other supplies as needed
- Follow food safety and proper food handling procedures
- Work together with the rest of the team to keep service moving during busy periods
We have separate professional cleaners who handle our bathrooms, so baristas are primarily responsible for maintaining the café, bar, bakery, and customer areas.
Experience
- Previous barista, café, restaurant, or customer service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
- Interest in coffee, espresso, latte art, or Yemeni coffee and chai is a plus
- Comfortable learning drink recipes and preparing drinks consistently
- Friendly and comfortable communicating with customers
- Able to work efficiently in a busy and fast paced environment
- Reliable and able to work well as part of a larger team
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Willing to learn and take feedback
Our Team
Qamaria Redmond is a family owned business, but we have a staff of more than 28 people, so you’ll be joining an established team with plenty of support and coverage.
We offer flexible hours and have a mix of morning, afternoon, evening, and late night shifts. With a larger staff, there are also more options for shift swaps and coverage when something comes up.

Pay: $17.50 - $29.35 per hour
