Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes
- Maintain high standards of food handling, cleanliness, and safety throughout all kitchen activities
- Execute food preparation tasks efficiently during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Support food presentation and garnishing to ensure visually appealing dishes
- Follow proper knife skills and cooking techniques to optimize quality and consistency
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent food service experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Proven culinary experience in fine dining or restaurant settings
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- Skilled in food handling, meal preparation, and catering operations
- Excellent knife skills with attention to detail in food presentation
- Familiarity with menu planning, food industry standards, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred
