- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, slicers, and mixers
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Follow food handling procedures diligently to ensure safety and hygiene at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and delivery times
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient prep for daily service and special catering events
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related food industry role
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning
- Knowledge of safety standards in food production and food safety management practices
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to meal preparation guidelines
- Experience operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen team members
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus for specialized menus or health-focused offerings
