Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Restaurant Facilities Area Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of our restaurant facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for managing maintenance teams, ensuring all mechanical and electrical systems are functioning optimally, and maintaining a safe environment for staff and guests alike. The ideal candidate is passionate about facilities management, possesses strong leadership skills, and has a solid background in industrial maintenance and engineering troubleshooting. Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise facilities maintenance teams to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and other building infrastructure.
- Oversee the repair and troubleshooting of complex mechanical systems using schematics, electrical diagrams, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Develop and implement maintenance repair procedures aligned with safety regulations like OSHA standards to promote a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with project management teams for large-scale upgrades or renovations involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC system repairs, or electrical system upgrades.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, schedule inspections, and monitor maintenance performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues related to high voltage, low voltage electrical systems, plumbing, or HVAC units.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations by training staff on proper procedures and maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities.
Experience
- Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams within a hospitality or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, electrical systems troubleshooting (including high voltage and low voltage), plumbing system maintenance, and industrial maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with engineering troubleshooting techniques using schematics, wiring diagrams, and testing tools such as ohmmeters.
- Experience managing facilities maintenance programs using CMMS software to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations along with experience implementing safety protocols in a fast-paced setting.
- Demonstrated project management skills for coordinating repairs, upgrades, or installations involving mechanical or electrical systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively lead teams, document procedures, and liaise with vendors or contractors.
