Support pharmacy operations as a Pharmacy Technician in a specialized long-term care (LTC) and mail order environment. This role offers a 13-week contract with the potential to convert to a permanent position. Work within a dynamic team focused on delivering exceptional patient care through accurate and efficient medication dispensing.
Location: Lisle, IL
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Rotating Saturdays, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter medication orders using pharmacy software (training provided for Frameworks system)
- Prepare and dispense prescriptions in both long-term care and mail order settings
- Perform order entry and verification processes to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to manage inventory and patient medication needs
- Maintain meticulous record-keeping and adhere to pharmacy protocols
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license required
- Experience in long-term care or retail pharmacy settings
- Familiarity or willingness to learn Frameworks order entry system
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rotating Saturday shifts
