The Gables of Fitchburg is seeking passionate and dependable Line Cook to join our culinary team. We are building a restaurant-quality dining program within our assisted living community and are looking for individuals who take pride in preparing fresh, high-quality meals while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. We take pride in everything we do under our new Executive Chef who brings new energy to our culinary team
Our kitchen provides service from 6:30 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. with a variety of scheduled shifts available, offering opportunities for a part-time employment.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 2 year of professional line cooking or kitchen experience
- A genuine passion for food and quality presentation
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a professional culinary team
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to excellence
- A strong understanding of kitchen sanitation, food safety, and cleanliness
- Appreciation for maintaining a clean, organized, and professional kitchen at all times
Professional Development
We are looking for individuals who want to build a career in the culinary profession. Candidates should have the desire and willingness to obtain ServSafe® Food Handler and ServSafe® Manager certifications, along with any other certifications that will help advance their culinary knowledge and career.

Responsibilities
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items according to recipes and production standards
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
- Assist with inventory, stocking, and kitchen closing procedures
- Work closely with fellow chefs and dining staff to provide an exceptional dining experience for our residents
