Daycare/Preschool center, Petits Poussins Dumbo, is looking for an Infant teacher for its Bilingual Daycare/Preschool located in Dumbo. We are a Bilingual school offering classes to children 3 months to 5 years old. We are looking for a "Top-Notch" experienced Infant teacher. 2 YEAR-MINIMUM experience in the classroom with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood.

Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote infant growth in areas such as motor skills, language, social-emotional development, and cognitive abilities.
- Provide attentive caregiving, ensuring infants are comfortable, safe, and engaged through activities like tummy time, sensory play, and routine care.
- Monitor and document each child's developmental milestones, behaviors, and progress to inform personalized learning strategies.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards, including proper sanitation of toys and equipment.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's daily activities, developmental progress, and any concerns or observations.
- Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting and reporting any signs of neglect or abuse in accordance with legal requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team environment focused on continuous improvement in early childhood education practices.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with infants in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving roles.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Familiarity with special education strategies and working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and nurturing qualities essential for infant care.
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols, including mandated reporting laws and health guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, and team members.
