Position summary
Hang live birds in a moving shackle on a conveyor belt about waist level.
Essential Functions
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Pick up birds according to animal welfare guidelines and place in a moving shackle.
- Rotate along different positions on the live hang production line.
- After training, must be able to hang 25 birds per minute.
- Cross trained to operate the cage dumper
- Comply with all plant policies
- Identify and report suspicious or abnormal situations to immediate supervisor or plant management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to lift and hang live birds weighing 7.0-11.00 for 100% of the workday
- Standing/walking 100% of the workday
- Must be able to perform repetitive motion
- Must be able to work in a hot and dusty environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years live hanger experience
