Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Machinist with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience to set up, operate, and maintain a variety of machine tools. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of producing precision parts that meet strict specifications and quality standards. Experience with Mazak equipment is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
· Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (lathes and mills, etc.)
· Program and edit CNC programs as needed
· Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
· Measure and inspect finished parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
· Adjust machine settings to optimize production and maintain quality standards
· Troubleshoot machining issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
· Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery
· Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
· Document production processes and completed work
Required Qualifications
· Minimum of 3 years of machining experience
· Experience with CNC and/or manual machining equipment
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
· Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
· Working knowledge of hand tools used in machining operations
· Strong math and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience operating and programming Mazak lathes
· Experience with Mazak/Mazatrol programming
· Experience operating and programming Mazak lathes
· Technical certification in machining or related field (Preferrable)
· Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and G-code programming (A Plus)
· Experience working with tight tolerances or precision components
Work Schedule
· 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
· 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 2:30 PM – 11:45 PM
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand for extended periods
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
· Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Work Environment
· Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
· Overtime may be required based on production needs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
