St. Louis Academy is seeking a mission-driven, student-centered Assistant Principal to serve as a key member of the school’s leadership team. This role is designed for a dynamic leader who is passionate about forming students academically, spiritually, and socially within a Catholic environment. This role is rooted in the understanding that Catholic education is a ministry—one that forms the whole child in mind, body, and spirit.
We are looking for a leader who is committed not only to academic excellence, but to the spiritual formation of students as disciples of Christ, guiding them to grow in virtue, character, and a relationship with God.
The Assistant Principal will play a vital role in advancing the mission of the school by helping to cultivate a joyful, structured, and authentically Catholic environment where faith is lived out daily. This includes supporting a strong culture of prayer and virtue, leading systems that promote student growth and well-being, and partnering with faculty to ensure that instruction reflects both academic rigor and Gospel values. This position requires a leader who can think strategically, act decisively, and consistently model Christ-centered leadership in both word and action.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who is visibly present in the life of the school—someone who builds trust, supports teachers, engages families, and leads with humility, integrity, and purpose. This individual understands that leadership in a Catholic school is not only about management, but about witness.
At St. Louis Academy, you will be surrounded by individuals who work exceptionally hard, measure their success, and seek ways to continually improve their practice. Although the Assistant Principal role is recently new at SLA, indicators used to measure success in this role will be shared during the interview.
The Assistant Principal is expected to lead as a servant-hearted Catholic educator whose witness and presence help shape the spiritual life of the entire school community.
