Our boutique cosmetic and implant dental practice is seeking a dental professional to join our team as a Dental Sterilization Technician.
This position is ideal for a dental assistant or recent dental assisting graduate who enjoys organization, infection control, and supporting a clinical team. Previous dental experience is preferred but not required.
As a valued member of our clinical team, your primary responsibility will be instrument sterilization and maintaining an organized clinical environment. You'll also support the clinical team by turning treatment rooms, stocking operatories, seating patients, taking dental radiographs (when certified), and assisting our hygienist and expanded functions dental assistant throughout the day.
Every instrument you prepare, every operatory you organize, and every room you turn over helps create a safe, efficient, and exceptional experience for our patients.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting or dental office experience preferred
- Recent graduates of a dental assisting program are encouraged to apply
- Maryland Dental Radiation Technologist (X-ray) certification preferred
- Knowledge of dental instrument sterilization, infection control, OSHA, and CDC guidelines
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional appearance with excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and support a fast-paced clinical team
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing exceptional patient care
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Clean, sterilize, package, and organize dental instruments
- Maintain sterilization records, biological spore testing, and infection control standards
- Perform instrument decontamination according to OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Prepare procedure trays and operatories according to the doctor's preferences
- Set up and stock treatment rooms
- Keep operatories clean, organized, and ready for patients
- Monitor clinical inventory and supplies
- Anticipate the needs of the clinical team and provide support to help each day run smoothly
- Assist the clinical team with daily workflow and help wherever needed
Clinical Support Responsibilities
In addition to sterilization, you'll become an important member of our clinical team by helping maintain an efficient workflow and ensuring our providers have everything they need to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
