We are a Veteran and Woman-Owned Small Business. We are in need of an excellent and experienced Infusion Nurse who can start a PIV and administer specialty medications in a home environment, such as IVIG. The nurse will stay with the patient during the entire infusion and monitor response to therapy. Current Home Infusion experience preferred but not required. We will train.
You will be an Independent Contractor, compensated accordingly, and become part of a network of Infusion Teams in the country. Looking for strong and self-motivated candidates.
Duties
Administer IV infusions, injections, and medications with precision, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans
Manage infusion therapies
Educate patients on infusion procedures, medication side effects, and post-treatment care to promote understanding and compliance
Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate medical documentation with electronic health record (EHR) system (Nurseplexus) using a laptop or Phone app
Monitor patient responses during infusion procedures, promptly addressing adverse reactions or complications
