Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner and Busser to join our dynamic restaurant team. The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring timely delivery of food orders from the kitchen to guests, maintaining a clean and organized service area, and providing exceptional guest service. Responsibilities
- Safely transport food orders from the kitchen to dining tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
- Assist with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Handle manual lifting of food trays and supplies following safe lifting practices
- Support food preparation and plating as needed under the supervision of kitchen staff
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to ensure smooth service flow
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout all duties
- Assist with light cleaning duties in the dining area, including wiping down surfaces and organizing service stations
- Provide excellent in-person customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and courteously
Skills
- Previous experience in food running, bussing or hospitality preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and guests
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including bussing, food handling, and basic food preparation
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
