We are seeking an energetic and passionate Ballet Program Director to lead and inspire our ballet community. Duties
- Develop comprehensive ballet curricula tailored to various skill levels, from ages 10 to adult learners, incorporating elements of technique, artistry, and performance.
- Lead engaging ballet classes, ensuring effective teaching methods that accommodate different learning styles and developmental stages.
- Manage classroom environments by implementing behavior management strategies and maintaining a positive, inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Mentor and support dance instructors by providing guidance on lesson planning, classroom management, and choreography.
- Organize and oversee student performances, rehearsals, and showcases that highlight their progress and celebrate their achievements.
- Collaborate with other artistic staff to integrate other performing arts into the ballet program when appropriate.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and curriculum updates to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with safety standards.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of ballet techniques, choreography, and performance practices.
- Proven professional experience in performance and instruction.
- Strong teaching abilities with a focus on classroom management and behavior guidance.
- Excellent communication skills for working with students of all ages and collaborating with fellow educators or artistic staff.
