Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care during evening shifts, including patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and medication administration.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation and charting.
- Perform specialized procedures including IV infusions, catheterization, suturing, and sterile technique adherence to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct triage assessments for incoming patients, prioritize care based on acuity, and coordinate referrals for services like dialysis or cardiology consultations.
- Manage acute pain and provide end-of-life comfort measures within hospice and palliative care frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical records in accordance with NCQA standards.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in good standing with current state requirements. (Arkansas)
- Proven experience working in diverse settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, long-term care, or hospital medicine.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding (ICD-9/10).
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems like PointClickCare, proficiency in medical documentation is essential.
- Demonstrated skills in critical care procedures including ventilator management, airway management, trauma medicine, and infection control protocols.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in geriatrics, memory care, or behavioral health is highly valued.
- Ability to perform physical examinations, specimen collection/processing, phlebotomy, and laboratory experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for patient assessment and health coaching; ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
