Summary: Entry-level and intermediate-level fabrication tasks, supporting the production of metal components and assemblies. This role requires hands-on experience with fabrication tools, blueprint interpretation, and quality control. The ideal candidate demonstrates growing technical proficiency, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and teamwork in manufacturing.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
· Measure, cut, and shape materials using hand and power tools
· Operate fabrication equipment and tools
· Assist in welding and assembly of metal components when required
· Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
· Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
· Coordinate and maintain detailed production schedules, shop employees, and workflow documentation
· Work directly supporting Plant Manager(s), Director(s) and Shop Supervisor(s)
Required Qualifications:
· High school diploma or vocational / technical school equivalent
· 1-5 years of fabrication or manufacturing experience
· Familiar with hand tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
· Welding knowledge or certification is a plus
· Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
· Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in a physically active environment
· Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills
· Maintain a clean and organized work area
· Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
· Participate in on-the-job training to build fabrication skills
