Join our dynamic food production team as a Production Worker, where your energy and attention to detail will drive the creation of high-quality food products. In this vital role, you will be actively engaged in the manufacturing process within a food processing plant, ensuring that all products meet strict safety and quality standards. Duties
- Prepare raw ingredients/materials to be processed including cutting, grinding, injecting, blending, mixing, cooking, etc.
- Work on processing line with tasks including stuffing and hanging links.
- Assist in packaging line with tasks including packing & taping.
- Fold and tape shipping boxes, pack, organize and apply labels with instructions.
- Transport products or materials safely and correctly to other rooms, departments, or storage as needed.
- Maintain quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
- All employees will follow production memo specifications.
- All rules and regulations of USDA, FDA, SQF, HACCP, and OSHA must be followed.
- Good Manufacturing Practices must be followed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Previous experience in a food industry manufacturing or processing plant is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP, and food safety practices is highly desirable
- Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations in a manufacturing setting
- Mechanical aptitude or experience with machinery maintenance is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards
- Prior forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is advantageous
