The
Administrative Assistant 1/2/3/4 provides comprehensive clerical and administrative support to the Workers' Compensation Judge. This position coordinates the activities of clerical staff in scheduling cases for hearings and trials on the court's docket, ensuring efficient case management and the timely processing of court proceedings. The incumbent also performs a variety of administrative duties to support the daily operations of the court and maintain accurate records.
The
Office of Workers’ Compensation Administration (OWCA) in Louisiana oversees the enforcement and administration of workers’ compensation laws, aiming to support early return-to-work efforts and improve workplace safety. The department manages disputed claims, conducts hearings, reviews medical treatment disputes, and investigates fraud through collaborative efforts like the GAME ON task force.

Job Details:

Maintain the electronic and physical calendars for the judge's docket.

Set dates for trials. motions, exceptions. and mediations.

Prepare and serve hearing and trial notices as well as Judgments.

Schedule and conduct telephone conferences with parties and issue scheduling orders to parties.

Key appropriate information and upload pleadings into JustWare and maintain the Courts physical record to ensure all files contain all relevant materials.
