Overview
Sonic Drive-In is now looking for Nights and weekend Carhops and Drive Thru people. Looking for someone who has a positive attitude and a great smile. Someone that has great energy, a love for talking with people and building relationships. Being able to count and make change without the use of a calculator or phone is a must. The hours range from 2pm to Midnight Monday thru Friday and shifts on the weekends from 11am to 9pm if needed. Carhops serve as our waiter or waitress staff delvering food and drinks to customers parked on the lot. Being able to walk and/or run safely, and multitasking is a must. The correct candidate will be friendly and outgoing and will be expected to work in a team enviornment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and friendly service throughout shift
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems ensuring timely and correct delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
- Assist with food handling, cleaning patio tables, sweeping the lot and supporting front of house staff during busy periods to maintain smooth operations
- Be able to perfrom daily chores in a timely manner
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience, preferred Sonic Drive-In
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Experience in hospitality roles including serving, hosting, or bussing enhances your ability to succeed in this position
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy mornings
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relationship building
- Basic math proficiency for cash handling, cashiering, and order processing

Pay: $14.00 - $21.00 per hour
