Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, particularly in nursing homes or long-term care facilities, and possess the necessary skills to provide specialized care for individuals with diverse needs.
Duties
- Provide attentive and personalized care to individuals with special needs
- Assist with patient monitoring and ensure their safety and well-being
- Administer patient care following established protocols, including dementia care if required
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare and serve meals tailored to specific dietary requirements
- Perform lifting and transferring of patients as needed
- Implement first aid procedures when necessary
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting is preferred
- Proficiency in patient monitoring and providing specialized care
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and assisting with mobility
- Certification in first aid is desirable
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations governing patient privacy
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families
