Nore Health is seeking a compassionate, professional, and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a critical role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment. This position requires a friendly demeanor, strong multitasking skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients with warmth and professionalism
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the clinic calendar
- Verify insurance coverage and collect co-pays or other payments
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all forms are completed
- Prepare and update charts and assist with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Communicate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and faxes
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area
- Provide patients with information on services, procedures, and clinic policies
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1+ years of experience in a medical office or customer service role (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus
- Proficient in using scheduling software and basic office equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) a plus
