Join our dynamic plastic surgery clinic as an Operating Room Circulator, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient OR procedures. Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile, functional, and ready for procedures.
- Assist in positioning patients appropriately for various plastic surgery procedures, maintaining comfort and safety throughout.
- Monitor aseptic technique rigorously to uphold infection control standards during surgeries.
- Act as the primary liaison between surgical team members, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to coordinate workflow seamlessly.
- Document intraoperative details accurately in medical records
- Manage patient assessments pre- and post-operation, including vital signs and overall condition monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in an operating room environment
- Prior OR experience in plastic surgery or related fields such as dermatology or esthetic laser treatment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to plastic surgery procedures.
- Familiarity with accurate medical documentation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as IV infusion or suturing skills are advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate efficiently with multidisciplinary teams and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
