Job Overview
We are seeking reliable, safety-focused Class A CDL Truck Drivers to join our growing team. As a FedEx Ground independent contractor, we operate terminal-to-terminal (linehaul) routes with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and on-time performance.
As a Linehaul Driver, you will safely operate tractor-trailers transporting FedEx Ground trailers between designated terminals, including double trailers (pup trailers with a dolly) and 53-ft trailers, in a 100% drop-and-hook, no-touch freight environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must have a valid CDL-A
- Must have at least 1 year of verifiable CDL-A (tractor-trailer) driving experience within the last 3 years, — OR — at least 5 years verifiable CDL-A (tractor-trailer) driving experience within the last 10 years.
- Doubles/Triples Endorsement (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass and maintain a DOT physical, drug screen, and a background check.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including doubles (pup trailers with a dolly) and 53-ft trailers.
- Transport FedEx Ground trailers between terminals (linehaul routes).
- Perform thorough Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections (DVIR).
- Safely hook/unhook trailers and assemble/disassemble doubles with dollies.
- Perform drop and hook operations (no touch freight).
- Maintain accurate ELD logs and Hours of Service compliance.
- Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety standards.
- Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, reliability, and punctuality.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and company management regarding route status and issues.

- Experience operating tractor-trailers in a commercial driving environment.
- Knowledge of safe driving practices, safety protocols and DOT compliance.
