Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans and providing support to enhance their quality of life. Your expertise in behavioral therapy and behavior management will be crucial in fostering positive behavioral changes and promoting independence in daily living activities.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as designed by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Monitor and document client progress, ensuring accurate medical documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Educate clients and their families on behavior management techniques and strategies to support skill development.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, promoting independence and self-care skills.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans that address the unique needs of each client.
- Maintain up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Provide support during therapy sessions, reinforcing positive behaviors and addressing challenging behaviors effectively.
Skills
- Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical documentation practices and ability to maintain accurate medical records.
- Ability to educate clients, families, and caregivers on effective behavior management approaches.
- Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy.
- Experience assisting clients with daily living activities (ADLs) is a plus.
