We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant/Toddler Floater to join our early childhood education team. This role provides flexible coverage across classrooms, supporting the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess strong caregiving skills, and be adaptable to various classroom settings. Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and play activities
- Support classroom teachers by helping implement educational activities and developmental programs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Foster positive behavior management techniques to promote social-emotional development
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent care and effective communication with families
- Adapt quickly to different classroom needs and age groups as assigned
- Document observations related to children's progress and behavior as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or caregiving settings
- Knowledge of childhood development, infant care, toddler care, and classroom management
- Certification or training in First Aid and CPR (or upon hire)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with children, families, and team members
- Childcare or early childhood education coursework or credentials are desirable
- Demonstrated patience, nurturing qualities, and a genuine passion for early childhood development
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing classroom needs
