Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and recommend appropriate services with enthusiasm and confidence.
- Educate customers on vehicle maintenance needs, including oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, transmissions, suspension, alignments, and more.
- Prepare accurate auto estimates for repairs and maintenance using dealership or shop management software.
- Upsell additional services and accessories by clearly communicating benefits and value to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs while keeping customers informed throughout the process.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and maintain detailed service records.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term relationships that lead to repeat business.
Requirements
- Proven service advisor background in an automotive setting.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures including diagnostics, oil changes, brake repair, wheel alignments, suspension work, tire service, diesel engine repair and AC components.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience working alongside service technicians or understanding automotive diagnostics.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing processes.
- Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
