Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Technician/Substitute and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children of both preschool age and school age with developmental/ learning disabilities, ADD, and other behavioral needs. In this role, you will provide direct behavioral plans as set forth by the Behavioral Specialist as well as assist with activities of daily school life, and support clients in various settings within the school environmnent, including classroom engagement and support, lunch, recess peer interactions throughout the day and additonal needs of school environments. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in behavior management, special education experience is a plus, while fostering positive growth and development all under the direction of the Behavioral Specialist. This position requires direct classroom support to both the student and the teachers.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on behavioral health tools to promote skill development in social/emotional needs and reduce challenging behaviors
- Assist children and staff with inclusion activities of daily classroom life such as self help skills, supporting individual social/emotional needs to foster independence
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during direct work and anticdotal observations to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Support teaching and reinforcement strategies aligned with childs needs and care plans, ensuring consistency across sessions
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members regarding progress, challenges, and next steps
- Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding medical records and documentation
- Participate in training on medical to excel your skills
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as high funcitoning autism spectrum disorders (ASD), ADD, social/emotional learning needs, behavioral health, parenting challenges, undiagnosed behavioral challenges within schools or other disabilities
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques, and implementing different modalities for therapy protocols by working with Behavioral Specialist
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support behavioral health interventions in various settings including home-based environments or schools
- Strong data collection skills for tracking behavioral progress and documenting medical records accurately
- Teacher support and training to help meet students needs under direction OF Behavioral Specialist
- Prior experience working withn both Preschoolers and School Age children with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is non negotiable
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and family engagement
- A positive attitude, patience, adaptability, and a commitment to ethical practice are essential

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
