Job Overview
Our client is hiring a IT Field Service Technician to support network infrastructure improvements during a project in Houston. This role is ideal for someone early in their networking career who is eager to work with hardware and assist with deployment tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Deployment & Installation
- Assist with network cable installation and organization
- Support deployment and configuration of Fortinet switches and access points
- Assist with physical network infrastructure and server room improvements
- Test network connections and basic troubleshooting
Support & Documentation
- Follow instructions from the senior technician on installations and configurations
- Assist with labeling, asset tracking, and documentation
- Help identify and report network issues for resolution
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in an IT support, field tech, or network installation role
- Basic familiarity with networking concepts and hardware
- Ability to follow technical instructions and work in physically demanding environments
- Willingness to learn and collaborate on a high-pace on-site project
Preferred
- Networking coursework or certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA – in progress)
- Exposure to structured cabling and basic firewall/switch configuration
Pay: $25.96 - $31.27 per hour

- Are you comfortable commuting or driving up to 1–2 hours for on-site work if required?
