About the Position
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Fleet Coordinator to oversee the daily operation and maintenance of our company vehicle fleet. This position plays an important role in keeping our vehicles safe, reliable, and ready to support our field operations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable coordinating maintenance, inspections, registrations, repairs, and transportation needs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily fleet-related activities and transportation needs.
- Pick up and deliver parts and materials required for jobs.
- Schedule and coordinate state inspections, vehicle registrations, and tags.
- Maintain accurate vehicle maintenance and repair records.
- Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure vehicles receive timely service.
- Perform minor vehicle repairs and coordinate major repairs with qualified service providers.
- Track fleet maintenance and performance metrics.
- Ensure vehicles meet company safety standards and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate and file insurance claims for damaged vehicles.
- Communicate with vendors, service providers, and internal teams regarding fleet needs.
- Provide professional and courteous communication by phone and email.
- Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in fleet management, transportation, maintenance coordination, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform minor vehicle repairs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional customer service and telephone communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with a team.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
