A nonprofit services organization providing residential youth services is seeking a Social Worker in Staten Island, NY. This role supports teenagers in foster care through trauma-informed clinical support, group sessions, and collaborative work across two residential sites.
About the Opportunity:

Shift: Day shift

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Hours: Flexible start times as early as 8:00 AM and as late as 7:00 PM

Setting: Field-based residential setting
Responsibilities:

Provide individual support, crisis intervention, and ongoing clinical check-ins for youth in foster care.

Facilitate group sessions and therapeutic activities that promote emotional regulation, social skills, and positive peer engagement.

Conduct psychosocial assessments, safety planning, and service planning in alignment with program requirements.

Partner with residential leadership, case planners, and interdisciplinary staff to support a stable, trauma-informed environment.

Complete documentation, progress notes, and follow-up records accurately and within required timeframes.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field

Experience working in Foster Care, Residential Care, Group Home, or Child Welfare settings
- Experience supporting youth with Behavioral, Emotional, or Trauma-related needs
- Ability to work across two program sites and maintain a flexible schedule

Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Desired Skills:

Master's degree in Social Work

Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker credential

Experience with trauma-informed and evidence-based practices
