Nature of Work
This part-time position may be the first point of contact for library customers and is responsible for performing routine office support functions that help ensure departmental services are provided in a friendly, effective and efficient manner. This position will support the Rochester Reading Champions (RRC) program.
Work Schedule
This is a year-round position that will be available for 2 years, with the potential for extension based on funding. Hours may vary from week to week depending on operational needs, with an average of up to 5 hours per week.
Pay Rate
The 2026 wage is $14.71 to $17.86, depending on qualifications.

In consideration of the overall amount of physical effort required to perform this position, the work is best described as Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
