Duties
- Efficiently clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper sanitation techniques
- Maintain cleanliness of all food preparation areas, including counters, sinks, and storage spaces
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as prepping ingredients or assembling plates when needed
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and resetting dining areas for new guests
- Help with catering and banquet setups by organizing serving ware and ensuring cleanliness of all items used
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure proper food handling and sanitation standards are met
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service times
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, food handling safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items or bending
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations including bussing, food preparation, and catering support is a plus
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary support and hospitality services
- Prior banquet or hotel experience can be advantageous but is not mandatory
