Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our outpatient specialty practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical support, patient care, and medical administrative tasks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality outpatient care while utilizing a broad range of clinical skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to support clinical assessments.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes clearly and ensuring comfort.
- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient encounters, test results, and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding for accurate documentation and billing.
- Experience supporting outpatient clinics across diverse specialties.
- Proficiency in using EHR systems for documentation, scheduling, and communication within healthcare teams.
- Ability to perform clinical tasks such as intake assessments, medication administration, vital signs collection.
- Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Must travel between Chesapeake and Suffolk Offices
Pay: $18.00 - $18.25 per hour
