Position Overview
- Preparation and execution of meals in alignment with our established menu and quality benchmarks.
- Creating and testing new recipes, as well as modifying existing ones to suit customer preferences and dietary requirements.
- Handle customer complaints and special requests, as well as liaising with the front-of-house staff to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
- Enforce compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation protocols, and waste management practices.
- Support in stock management, adherence to food safety practices, maintain cleanliness, and ensure proper functioning of kitchen tools.
- Collaborating with the chef, sous chef, and other BOH team members to maintain excellence and uniformity in dish preparation.
- Coordinating with FOH personnel to guarantee prompt and precise order service.
Qualifications
- Have at least three years of experience in a similar role in a reputable restaurant.
- Possess knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and ingredients.
- The ability to follow recipes and instructions.
- Show attention to detail, creativity, and presentation skills.
- Exhibit teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A food handler's certificate is preferred for the sous chef.
- Proficiency in English and dependable transportation are required!
- You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and follow directions.
- You must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
- You must be flexible and willing to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
