Minyan Clinical Academy (MCA)
Minyan Clinical Academy is seeking a dedicated, faith-driven Instructor to join our specialized clinical microschool for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role is ideal for a educator seeking a meaningful, high-impact contract position where they can mentor a small cohort of 10 male students (ages 9–13) with neurodiversity.
The Role
As an MCA Instructor, you are not just a teacher; you are a mentor and a guide. You will facilitate a "clinical-academic ecosystem" where students master foundational skills at their own pace. You will lead students through a structured day that blends biblical character development, specialized academic curricula, and real-world application in our culinary and science labs.
Compensation & Terms
- Position Type: Contract (1099); no benefits provided.
- Compensation: $4,000 per month (based on an instructional rate of $1,000 per week).
- Growth: Salary potential grows as the academy expands.
- Commitment: 40-week program; standard instruction Tuesday–Thursday, with exploratory/recreational activities on Mondays and Fridays.
A Typical Day at MCA
- Morning Routine: You will facilitate breakfast check-ins to stabilize students for cognitive work, followed by group Bible and prayer to provide spiritual grounding.
- Instructional Blocks: You will manage specialist rotations, including supporting virtual 1-on-1 reading interventions (Barton Reading & Spelling System) and facilitating hands-on Culinary & Science labs where students apply math and science principles.
- Social & Emotional Support: Throughout the day, you will weave clinical goals—such as frustration tolerance and perspective-taking—into academic tasks.
- Afternoon Enrichment: You will guide students through social skills training and support our "Higher Hoops" recreational program, which serves as a laboratory for teamwork and emotional regulation.
- Generalization: You will facilitate movement breaks and community-based activities to help students generalize the skills learned in the classroom to real-world settings.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience: Demonstrated familiarity with neurodiverse children beyond the professional setting (e.g., through volunteering, family experience).
- Certification: Must be willing to obtain CAS certification, CPR/First Aid training, Behavior Management training, and pass a federal background check.
Application & Interview Process
To apply, please submit your resume, official transcripts, copy of diploma, copy of valid driver’s license, and teaching certificate (if applicable) to the administrative office. Qualified candidates will be invited to an interview with both the Director and a parent representative.
