Progressive Steps Therapy, LLC provides compassionate, high-quality therapy services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through community-based programs. Our team is committed to improving communication, functional ability, and overall quality of life for the individuals we serve.
We are currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team on a PRN contract basis. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide therapy services, implement treatment plans, and support individuals in achieving their communication goals. This is an ongoing PRN 1099 contract position, offering flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist individuals in improving communication, speech, and language skills
- Document patient progress and treatment sessions accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and interdisciplinary team
- Maintain compliance with all professional standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license
- Graduate of an accredited SLPA program
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with supervising SLP
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Previous experience working with adult population with IDD preferred
- Reliable transportation
