We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bilingual Baker and Tortilla Maker to join our production team here at La Nortena Tortillas. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and an understanding of food safety practices. As a Tortilla Maker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality tortillas that meet our standards for taste and texture. This role is essential in ensuring that our menu offerings are fresh and delicious.
Duties
- Prepare and mix dough ingredients according to established recipes.
- Operate tortilla-making equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness.
- Shape, cook, and package tortillas while adhering to food safety standards.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality of tortillas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to assist in menu planning and product development.
- Provide support in other areas of the kitchen as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a culinary role, is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
- Skills in basic cooking techniques are beneficial.
