Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting components.
- Assemble fabricated parts and verify proper alignment before welding.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drill presses, and other shop machinery.
- Repair or modify fabricated components as required during production.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety policies.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report any equipment issues.
- Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and production personnel to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Accurately document completed work and report production or quality concerns.
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in welding preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in MIG welding required; TIG and Stick welding experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, squares, and levels.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metal properties, and fabrication practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
