Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other construction equipment to perform tasks including grading, excavation, lifting, and material transport.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance; perform basic maintenance as needed.
- Assist with site preparation activities like clearing land, leveling surfaces, and setting foundations for construction projects.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to coordinate equipment usage efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment operation hours, maintenance activities, and site activities for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, or similar equipment on construction sites.
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and practices; OSHA certification is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
