The main responsibilities are to effectively manage and coordinate all drivers and vehicles. Assign drivers routes, destinations, and timelines, as well as keep in touch with drivers who are on the road. This position involves on-street management of buses at a designated bus departure point.
- Dispatching tour buses and drivers
- Manage and maintain daily tour schedules, ensuring accuracy and updates are communicated to relevant parties.
- Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from operation crews, supervisors, and managers necessary to achieve successful execution of job order.
- Monitor bus operators and/or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
- Being able to read the schedule/pick, dispatch buses and communicate with teams accordingly including scheduled charters.
- Advise personnel about traffic problems such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, and other hazards that may have a bearing on the quality and timeliness of tours.
- Follow-up with the arrangement for the necessary repairs to restore service and operation schedules
- Act as the central point of contact for real-time communication between drivers, operations staff, and management
- Periodical route surveillance towards making recommendation or advising changes when necessary to ensure sustainable quality delivery operations
- Manage communication and reports of bus issues such as accidents or breakdowns to management and engineering teams.
- Support Operations team with various administrative work and Ventrata terminal distribution/collection
- Maintaining up-to-date records, including tour departure times, and bus utilization.
- Complete a daily report of activity and send to management team
- Responsible for keeping records, monitoring driver daily logs for errors or violations, and monitoring of both drivers in relation to their remaining hours of service and equipment as to its availability.
- Miscellaneous: To carry out other tasks as may be reasonably requested.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (Associates Degree preferred)
- 1 year customer service experience
- 1 year of dispatching experience
- Legal to work in US
- Multilingual preferred but not required
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
