Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and delivery vehicles to transport appliances to residential or commercial locations.
- Unload, inspect, and deliver appliances, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Install a variety of appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and HVAC units following schematics and manufacturer instructions.
- Assemble appliances and connect electrical, plumbing, or ventilation components as needed.
- Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues on-site using technical diagrams and schematics.
- Perform routine maintenance, equipment repairs, or adjustments to ensure appliances operate correctly post-installation.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining appliance features, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction upon completion of each job.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver with knowledge of safe driving practices in a box truck or similar vehicle.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair, electrical systems, refrigeration, HVAC, or equipment repair.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams accurately.
- Hands-on experience with appliance assembly and field service work.
- Customer service skills with a professional attitude and clear communication abilities.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and basic plumbing for appliance connections.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating large vehicles preferred.
- Physical ability to lift heavy appliances regularly and work in various environments; comfortable standing for extended periods.
