Grosman Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry s seeking a warm, skilled Pediatric Dental Assistant to provide preventive care to children in our Davie office.
This is not primarily a restorative chairside-assisting position. The assistant will manage pediatric preventive appointments, with an emphasis on coronal polishing, plaque and stain removal within the assistant’s authorized scope, fluoride application, oral-hygiene education, digital radiographs, and helping children develop positive dental habits.
The ideal candidate is efficient, gentle, confident with children, and properly trained to perform coronal polishing and other delegated expanded functions under Florida requirements.

Responsibilities
- Perform coronal polishing & apply topical fluoride on pediatric patients
- Take diagnostic-quality digital radiographs
- Provide age-appropriate brushing, flossing, nutrition, and oral-hygiene instruction
- Help anxious or hesitant children become comfortable using positive behavior-guidance techniques
- Review preventive-care instructions with parents and caregivers
- Accurately document services, observations, and patient behavior
- Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms
- Sterilize instruments and follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control protocols
- Maintain an efficient preventive-care schedule and support the clinical team as needed
- Support the dental reception by scheduling appointments, and facilitating smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
Skills
- Pediatric dental experience is highly encouraged.
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar patient management software.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across pediatric dentistry.
- Experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection control protocols, and medical documentation standards.
- Ability to operate dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental x-ray machines, and other clinical tools with precision.
- Excellent understanding of dental instrument processing, aseptic techniques, and infection prevention management.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and the ability to document medical records accurately.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages in a friendly yet professional manner.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
