Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, steering systems, and other vehicle components with precision.
- Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements to prolong vehicle lifespan.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems in various vehicle models.
- Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brake systems, and perform wheel alignments to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Repair auto body damage when necessary using welding techniques and auto body repair tools.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs needed and completed work.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair across diverse vehicle types.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, powertrain components, transmissions, shocks & struts, suspension systems, and tire service.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems including sensors like ADAS modules and auto estimating procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive client experience.
