THE PAY: BASE PLUS TIPSYes, you heard us right. Here, we don't believe in the 'front of house' or 'back of house'.... at Noodlepig, there is only one house. Therefore, and in a nod to the 'Japanese Way' that no job is above any another, we offer universal tip pooling. We distribute tips equally based on hours worked in that pay period.* The posted $18+/hr average is calculated with a $13/hr base pay plus $5/hr+ in tips.
Pay advancement comes with proficiency in our departments, positive/upbeat attitude, and a strong work ethic.

HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Ability to create immediate warm customer relationships
- Experienced server/cashier, able to take orders, upsell, articulate, and sell each menu item. Must be able to make immediate, warm connections with guests.
- Beverage: Able to build our milk tea boba and our signature cocktails. (you must be 17+ to handle alcohol in the State of Michigan)
- Table bussing and cleaning.
- Light food prep, following standardized recipes
- This is a hybrid position - We are small cast, so you will be expected to play multiple roles within the restaurant. The ideal candidate is one who is open and willing to jump in where needed for the sake of the team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a restaurant
- Kitchen and food preparation experience is highly valued
- ServSafe and alcohol server certification is highly valued
- Must be able to operate a cash register and handle transactions while adhering to all cash handling policies
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and scoop throughout assigned shift
- Ability to be mobile in a walk-in refrigerator with temperatures ranging from 40° F to 0° F.
- Must be able to work a variety shifts within weekdays, weekends, and holidays
