Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth operations within the dental office. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced dental technology and maintaining high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Open Dental is preferred, along with a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation, general and cosmetic dentistry. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive dental services across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry.
Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
- Take and develop X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic techniques
- Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Obtain vital signs and medical history to support comprehensive patient assessments
- Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, post op instruction and oral health maintenance
- Perform medical imaging tasks including 3D scanning and other diagnostic procedures
- Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and managing clinical supplies
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating medical records as needed

Requirements
- Bilingual english and spanish
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting; experience with dental assisting is essential
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, or similar platforms for medical documentation and records management
- Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines
- Understanding of pediatric dentistry principles and working with children preferred
- Certification in Dental Assisting or related credentials are highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
